The iPhone 13 Pro shares its 6.1 "screen diagonal with
the classic iPhone 13, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max starts at 6.7". Under

But we should not forget the flagship asset of the Pro
models this year: Promotion technology. Already at work on iPad Pro since 2017,
it offers an adaptive refresh rate between 10 and 120 Hz in order, on the one
hand, to improve the autonomy of the smartphone and, on the other hand, to make
the smoother display.
In the box of iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, no
surprise. Apple no longer provides a charger, we will find only a USB-C to
Lightning cable and, in France, a pair of Ear Pods in a separate box.

Design: heavier smartphones
Like the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Pro take all or part of
the design of their elders. Same frame with flat and shiny edges, same back in
matt brushed glass, and same block of cameras with exaggerated protuberance.

hand, climbs in more generous proportions. We go from 189 grams (iPhone 12 Pro)
to 204 grams (iPhone 13 Pro), and from 228 grams (iPhone 12 Pro Max) to 240
grams (iPhone 13 Pro Max). So it's official: the latter is the heaviest
smartphone ever tested on Cubic (excluding folding smartphone).
Suffice to say that the handling is ... complicated. Or
rather will it obviously depend on the size of the user's paws. In my opinion,
the iPhone 13 Pro offers the ideal compromise between size and display area.

Apple has communicated relatively little on this, and it
probably did well see the little difference it makes, but the notch is losing a
size this year. It is indeed reduced by 20% compared to previous years. On the

Quite frankly, that doesn't change the game. No major information is displayed
on the screen parts located on either side of the notch, and your games will
continue to be cut off from one end of their interface in any case. In sh The

using our X-Rite I Display Pro probe and the Calman Ultimate calibration
software suggest that a technical problem is at work. Whether it is due to the

or concerns with our equipment, we obtained the following results (which are
consistent with what we were measuring last y The screen appears to be slightly
too hot for expected standards (6500K). The coverage of the sRGB spectrum
reaches 98% and that of the DCI-P3 74.5%. Obviously distorted values, which we
communicate to you only to make sure that they are identical to those of the
iPhone 13.

Still, by trusting our old eyes, we can say that the screens
of the new iPhone suffer from absolutely no colorimetry problem. They are
inevitably less flashy than the slabs set in Samsung smartphones, but they make
your films, series or simply text appear in a very flattering light. Ear) which,

So what does 120 Hz look like on an iPhone? Well imagine… I

Promotion screen is not limited to the speed of the refresh. Apple indeed uses
an LTPO panel which is able to adjust its frequency dynamically between 10 and
120 Hz depending on the content displayed. Thus, the iPhone 13 Pro consume less
energy than the iPhone 13 and 13 mini which, for their part, remain permanently
at 60 Hz regardless of the content that is displayed.
Audio: from the safe to spare
The speakers of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are
identical to those of the two previous models. One is located in front of the
user, at the level of the main earpiece, and the other on the lower edge of the
phone.

forget any part of the spectrum. Even the bass, usually so difficult to

Software: iOS 15 at the controllers
It makes sense: expect the latest iPhones to be pre-loaded
with the latest OS from the manufacturer. And this year, iOS 15 is in control.

Performance: the most powerful smartphone on the market
